My son will attend college here in a few weeks so we stopped off to show his mom the school. Stopped in here because one of his coaches had recommended it. Really good food, service a little slow. I had the Saturday special, boiled shrimp. Very good for a non-coastal area. My wife had a burger, my son the chicken fried steak, and his girlfriend had a chicken sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their food. Homemade fries were great. Side salad wasn't that impressive.

Good overall experience. Had the Sat. Night boiled shrimp special. I had the full pound portion and while a bit pricey ($(18) it was quite tasty. cocktail sauce was very good and spicy. Came with a side salad, fries, slaw and a mini corn cobb. I had two blue moon draws and my tab with tip was over $30. Lots of TVs to watch the game and the service was very good even though they were very busy. Place was LOUD but I guess that is to be expected for a sports bar.

Food is usually pretty good. Service is hit and miss. The clientele is sometimes iffy. Seems a lot of locals like to frequent and get into bar fights. Servers are not always attentive to customers which otherwise ruins the visit. The sirloin tips is always good.

Had some decent BBQ Pork Nachos that were loaded up perfectly. I thought the menu was extensive and playful. My friends enjoyed their burgers, fish tacos, and reuben as well. The fries looked to be fresh cut. I would not hesitate to stop here again for the burgers in particular. Service was very good and very casual, just what you need after a long bicycle race. : )

We arrived as the baseball All-Star was just beginning, but the place was not all that busy. Beers came cold and on time. Likewise, the Caribbean Quesadilla was fine, except the waitress forgot the guacamole. And then it went downhill. We ordered the steak tips with onions, peppers and mushrooms; jalapeños on the side. Sweet potato fries. The menu said it came with a salad, but she never offered. The steak showed up with the fries and nothing else. Rather than take it back and serve it properly and hot she left it and said she'd get the rest. oh, yeh, the ketchup is empty and I'd like some Tabasco. The Tabasco showed up. Once everything else was cold I picked it up, carried it to the waitress and offered to "let them fix it." Not too long until it showed up and I asked if we should have been served a salad. We declined, too late at this point. I asked for the manager who removed the charge for the onion, peppers and shrooms while taking 1/2 off the steak. Fair enough. The food and beer were really good, but the dining experience left a lot to be desired.

Greeting at the door was immediate and friendly. Very busy place, we had high hopes. However tacos were cold, I never got my salsa and my husband's KC strip tasted as though it was thrown on the grill frozen, it was tough, very little flavor with a metallic aftertaste. The wait staff did not come back to the table until we were through eating, not a good experience. I am hopeful it was just a bad night.

Very good food. Average service. Poor chairs and seating. Not enough tables and chairs. Mostly bar stools and booths. Not comfortable for large people. Had the sirloin tips with onions bell pepper and mushrooms. Side salad and twice baked potato. All very good. But cant give more than three stars because of the seating.

Great local American spot! Beef tips with grilled onions, peppers n shrooms, very satisfying. The small, with 2 sides more food than I could eat! My son had shrimp skewers also good. Vegetable beef soup yummy. Again, not fancy gourmet, small town sports bar, all good

Above average sports bar with a good atmosphere. Service is good, friendly. Prices are pretty reasonable. Salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, steaks, chicken. Not very many beers on tap. The Corn Fritters are a really good appetizer. I've had the Philly Wrap and it was very good. A little greasy, but hey, it's a Philly right? I would recommend this place to any friend in the Ft. Scott area.

We were impressed with the extensive menu and the quality of the food. We went during the street fair and they were very busy. Yet, there was urgency to get us seated; our service was timely; the food was great; and the owners (seemed like the owners) were moving around the dining room, helping clear tables, and checking in with guests to make sure they were satisfied and had what they needed. Great small town find!
